Hey Reader, I used to stand in my kitchen at 6pm, staring into the fridge like it owed me something. Now I don't. And it's not because I meal prepped 47 containers on Sunday like a fitness influencer. It's because I removed the thinking entirely. Here's my lazy girl system: Carbs — I don't want to cook them or portion them. Rice cakes, store bought roti/phulka, frozen Stonefire mini naans, grain bread. Already portioned. Zero decisions. Maybeeee I'll make a pot of rice sometimes. Veg — I make TWO veg sides for the whole week. Either a quick sabzi/sauteed veg Indian style or sheet pan roasted veg or both. That's it. Protein — yesterday I Instant Pot'd chicken for enchiladas and chilaquiles. 5 min of actual effort. (Recipe here 👉 ) Then the week basically runs itself — Breakfast is always one of two things: rice cake + berries + greek yogurt, or pb + rice cake + banana. plus chai of course... Lunch is a veg omelette I throw together in 5 min. Dinner is just... assemble and reheat. Whatever I prepped above. No worrying about how to stay on track with food. No 6pm staring contest with the fridge. Try it this weekend and let me know how it goes 🙌 (And if you want me to figure out YOUR version of this — your carb, your veg, your protein, your life — [I have a couple spots open. Here's where to apply.] -Sanjana |

Two women. Same goal. Same starting point. Different outcome. Person A wakes up on Monday motivated. She meal preps, hits her steps, logs her food.By Wednesday, work gets busy. She skips the gym. Thursday she eats something off-plan and figures the week is already ruined. Sunday night she tells herself she’ll start fresh tomorrow. She’s been starting fresh every Monday for two years. Person B wakes up on Monday motivated too.By Wednesday, work gets busy. She skips the gym. But instead of...
I want to share a quick story from a 1:1 client, because I see this pattern constantly. She came to me feeling completely stuck. She was eating clean, working out, and the scale hadn't moved in two months. When I looked at her food log, I saw exactly why. Her previous trainer had told her to cut out carbs at dinner and avoid carrots because of "sugar." So she was eating a salmon patty with no bun, sautéed zucchini, and feeling miserable. She wasn't stuck because she wasn't trying hard enough....
Reader, I've got some tea for you... Something happened last week that I’m still thinking about. I applied to be a vendor at a local wellness event. Something I was genuinely excited about — the kind of room full of women who are exactly who I built SZN for. I got rejected. The reason? My messaging was “too focused on fat loss.” I sat with that for a minute. Because on one hand, I get it. The wellness industry right now is in this weird moment where fat loss has become almost a dirty phrase —...
